NJCSA occasionally provides trainings for parents and educators on the finer points of charter school advocacy and professional development workshops to support the development, implementation & operation of charter schools.
At these free trainings, participants will explore how to be an advocate not only for a particular charter school, but for the charter school community as a whole. We are all in this together, and we appreciate your commitment to supporting high quality charter schools as a free, public education option for all children in New Jersey.

Charter StartUp 102
The Charter StartUp 102 Workshop is the second in our StartUp Series. Focused on Application Essentials, this workshop addresses the key elements and strategies for presenting a strong Phase 1 charter application. This one-day intensive workshop reviews your school’s mission & vision and addresses what makes a strong statement of need. Attendees will then work on aligning their mission, vision and educational program. You will also learn about the application evaluation process and techniques for meeting the criteria for a strong application.
