Parent Ambassador Program

NJPCSA’s Parent Ambassador Program is a year-long program that empowers parents with the tools and resources to be their child’s and their charter school’s greatest advocate.  Parents receive advocacy and communications training and then take their learnings from the program and establish their own school-based parent groups to ensure that as charter school parents, their voices are heard and uplifted within their communities and across New Jersey.

Parents learn how to market their school and recruit other parents. Events that parents engage in through the program include: recruitment events, rallies, legislator meetings at their schools and in Trenton, story-telling, canvassing to highlight the facts about charters, writing to legislators, social media outreach, and more.  If you are interested in learning more about this program, please reach out to Alexis Ulaj, Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement at NJPCSA ([email protected]).
