Charter School Program Grant

The Charter Schools Program (CSP) Grant provides federal funding to support charter school creation, expansion, and replication through a competitive subgrant program.

Supporting the growth of high-quality public charter schools in New Jersey

On September 30, 2020, the New Jersey Public Charter School Association (NJPCSA) was awarded a $63.2 million Charter School Program (CSP) grant from the US Department of Education to catalyze the growth of high-quality public charter school options across the state. NJPCSA will act as a pass-through entity, using federal funds to administer a competitive subgrant program for which the operators of new, expanding, and replicating schools will be eligible.

CSP Sub-grant Competitions Have Ended

Many thanks to all New Jersey charter schools who participated in our subgrant competition rounds.
