Olivia serves as program director for the Association’s $63.2 million Charter School Program (CSP) grant from the US Department of Education to catalyze the growth of high-quality public charter school options across the state. She also organizes and prioritizes critical issues, designing processes and procedures to make the organization more effective.
Prior to joining NJPCSA, Olivia led grant writing and management responsibilities for the National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA). Olivia’s professional passion for education began when she joined the New York City Teaching Fellows as a high school science teacher for English language learners in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx.
Her bachelor’s degree comes from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). She also holds a Master’s in Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education in New York City. Olivia wholeheartedly believes that access to a quality education should be a fundamental right for all students regardless of zip code, income, or ability level.
Olivia lives in Chicago with her husband, Drew. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her spinning, hanging with her cat, or drinking cold brew coffee.
